Welcome to the Racers
01/12/05 00:12
The Edinburgh Racers is a children's cycling club
based at Meadowbank Velodrome in Edinburgh
The aim of the club is to encourage children to
take part in the sport of cycling and to promote a
cycling team principally, but not exclusively, in the
field of track competition. Many of our
riders also excel in closed-circuit road racing
and mountain biking events.
The Racers meet for a two-hour training session every Saturday morning from April to September (weather permitting) between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
Membership of the Club is open to children from 8-16 years of age or as otherwise defined as Youths under British Cycling Federation membership rules. Riders under the age of eight can join the club, subject to assessment by club coaches. Parents/guardians and volunteer helpers are encouraged to be Associate Members of the Club and shall have the right to attend any General Meeting of the Club.
